Young Carers Awareness Training – January 2018 – March 2018

We have developed a 2-hour multi-agency training programme delivered by Imago Young Carers on behalf of Kent County Council as part of its commitment to safeguard vulnerable children. The training session will focus on resilience, confidence building, improved wellbeing for young people and their families, and promoting the early intervention and prevention of inappropriate caring roles for young carers.   To see more information, dates and how to book please click here

Funders and young carers gathered to celebrate the preview screening of a short film to raise awareness and reach out to hidden Young Carers.

Kent young carers in Shepway gathered to celebrate a preview screening of the short film “You are not alone” on Friday 20th October at Folkestone’s Quarterhouse during the Arts Triennial.
Thank you to The Roger De Haan Family Trust for recognising the need to raise awareness of young carers in Shepway and for funding a short film to be produced with the aim to reach out to hidden young carers not only in Shepway but across Kent.
Kent young carers were delighted to show the preview screening at the centre of Shepway’s Arts Triennial, The Quarterhouse.
Every aspect of the film was made and produced in Shepway and will be used to reach out to young carers across Imago’s young carers projects. The film will be used in assemblies and with hard to reach groups of young people.
Special thanks goes to Folkestone school for Girls, Port Lympne Zoo, Project Linus, Bear Necessities, Simply Ice Cream, Hythe and Shepway Rotary and Photographer Ken Krash.
Thanks also to Sally and her fantastic team at the Quarterhouse in Folkestone. All photos by Ken Krash for more information email at
