Young Carers Awareness Training – January 2018 – March 2018

We have developed a 2-hour multi-agency training programme delivered by Imago Young Carers on behalf of Kent County Council as part of its commitment to safeguard vulnerable children. The training session will focus on resilience, confidence building, improved wellbeing for young people and their families, and promoting the early intervention and prevention of inappropriate caring roles for young carers.   To see more information, dates and how to book please click here

Accredited training for minibus drivers within organisations operating a not for hire service.

Accredited training for minibus drivers within organisations operating a not for hire service including:

  • schools
  • colleges
  • sports and social organisations
  • charities
  • community groups

The training covers legal responsibilities, vehicle checks/maintenance and practical driving skills. There is a theory test paper and driving test completed at the end of the course.

 

Accessible training includes the above with the addition of theory and practical skills involved in assisting people of various abilities in boarding, traveling and alighting the minibus including use of all mechanical aids (tail lifts, hand rails, ramps etc) and securing of wheelchair using passengers. There is both a theory and practical test.

 

If you are booking from a registered charity please mention this at the time of booking for a reduction of 15%.

Basic Training:

Group    1 day up to 4 people = £390.00

Individual 1 day to join a pre booked course = £150.00

 

Accessible Training:

Group 1½ days up to 4 people including use of wheelchair and aids = £520.00

Individual 1½ days joining a pre booked course including use of wheelchair and aids = £190.00
