Youth Mental Health Awareness Co-ordinator - Greenwich

Do you want to make a positive impact on young people’s mental health?

Are you self-motivated, approachable and flexible with a ‘can do’ attitude?

This is an exciting opportunity to join an established team delivering Children and Young People services and bring our successful SAFE project to Greenwich secondary schools. Imago is a leading charity providing support and opportunities to people across the South East.

SAFE is an innovative mental health and suicide prevention programme which supports young people to recognise the signs of mental health in themselves and peers, empower them to talk about their feelings and ask for help, establish peer support networks and build resilience. You will lead and manage the implementation of the programme within local schools, build resilience, reduce stigma and promote wider school-based mental health initiatives.

Young People are at the heart of the SAFE programme and you support and train older students to become SAFE ambassadors in their schools, setting up SAFE spaces and offering peer-to-peer support.

You will build local networks, working collaboratively with partner agencies; and plan and deliver SAFE events.

You can make the difference for now and the future.
