"Alfie here, as many of you know I'm in shielding as my younger brother George was born with multiple heart and respiratory conditions.
Over the years, he's had four surgeries, with three being open heart, unfortunately he can’t be fixed.
Ever since George was born, my family and I have been supported by many charities, which we are extremely grateful for.
Shielding has been challenging, to say the least. So, I've been inspired to use this time to challenge myself for charity.
The challenge I have set myself is to cycle 280 kilometers on an exercise bike in under 2 weeks!, I have no cycling experience!!!
Usually this would be a little boring, so I have made it interesting by cycling to other countries, calm down I meant virtual on my TV.
I can't do this without your help, every pound matters to these charities who provided amazing support for so many families like mine,
but with the current pandemic are struggling to keep their services alive."
Alfie has included our Kent Young Carers service on his list of causes to support, saying
"I haven't been with them for long however they have been very supportive while I have been in shielding providing quiz nights and
they are always there if I need a chat or to destress."
