Kent and Medway Carers Emergency Card

As a Carer, you may often worry about what would happen to the person you care for if you suddenly became ill or were involved in an accident. By carrying a Kent and Medway Carers' Emergency Card, someone close to you can be contacted in those situations so that the person you care for can be supported while you're unavailable.

If you care for someone in Dartford, Gravesham, Swanley, or Swale and would like a Carers Emergency Card please contact our Navigation Centre on 0300 011 1965 or email navigation@imago.community with your name, postal address and phone number, and we can arrange to post one out to you and discuss other support you might be able to access.

You'll be given a card (about the size of a credit card) and a snap-off key fob to carry with you at all times.

The card and key fob will have a space to write down the number of an emergency contact, who will be called in the event of an accident or sudden illness, to ensure the person you care for is supported while you receive care.

The card is free and available to all Adult Carers.

If you Care for somebody outside Dartford, Gravesham, Swanley or Swale please see the KCC website for the contact details of the provider in your area: Kent and Medway Carers' Emergency Card - Kent County Council
