Business and Partnerships

Do you have a venue available free of charge that would be suitable for a one-off meeting for our team or a regular event such as an adult carers activity group? Maybe you have spare parking spaces that our team could use? The costs saved enable us to provide the services to greater numbers of individuals.

Here are some of our amazing supporters

Free Cakes for Kids+ Tonbridge

take referrals from the Young Carers team for those who have a birthday close to a workshop date and Dial 2 Drive for those with ‘big’ birthdays who would otherwise not receive a cake. The Dial 2 Drive team deliver the cake to the client. The volunteer bakers are given or choose a theme and make and decorate an edible masterpiece.

Body Shop Tunbridge Wells

The Body Shop ran a nationwide campaign at Christmas dedicated to raising awareness of young carers. The Body Shop Tunbridge Wells chose Imago Young Carers (specifically Tunbridge wells young carers) to support. They encouraged customers to donate gifts to young carers, and they managed to collect lots of presents for our young carers which they received at Christmas. This included plenty of Body Shop items which were great for our older young carers.

Dartford Deeds not Words

for several years have supported Kent Young Carers by including the service in their list of good causes being supported through their collection and distribution of toys at Christmas time. Toys are generously donated by the local community. They have also been able to help source items for individuals Kent Young Carers supports in times of crisis.

Tonbridge School

the parents kindly donate items and local groups are invited to apply to receive the gifts. Each is carefully laid out in the school hall in age order. Groups then can choose the items to distribute to the young people they support. The volume of amazing items is overwhelming to see and the gifts make such a difference to those who receive them.

Giving Tree at Bluewater

just before Christmas we take a van or couple of car trips to Bluewater to receive the boxed up gifts bought by the shoppers at Bluewater and donated under the Giving Tree. These gifts are then sorted out from the lists of children and young people being seen by the Imago team and shared out. It really means a lot to know that people who have never met you, care enough to buy you a gift.

Project Linus

talented quilters and knitters have been busy creating the most amazing quilts for Young Carers to have. Some people will remember Linus from the Snoopy cartoons, he had his blanket with him everywhere. The sewers include their Project Linus label on each handmade item that is gifted. The Young Carers who receive them adore them and we say that if they are in need of a hug, the quilt is there to remind them that they are never alone and are always being thought of.

Heart Felt Tips

the organisation encourages children to donate stationery to others. We have received filled pencil cases ready to hand out to Young Carers starting secondary school, filled by a school in a different area. Starting a new school can be daunting for any child, but for a Young Carer they may worry that their new teachers won’t understand their homelife and if there are any issues with completing studies at home whilst caring for their loved one. Having the right equipment to start school with is one thing less to worry about.

thanks to their generosity and community spirit, the company have provided cakes for some of our social groups, nibbles for our quiz nights, party food for our thank you volunteer events and Young Carers celebration events. They have been able to help us with special dietary requirements and the food has always gone down a treat and really makes the events special.

Baby2Baby & Beyond

a local charity who support families referred to them through the provision of donated baby and children’s items. They have been able to help with special requests for school uniform for some Young Carers as well as with filled school bags.
