Imago is delighted to be working in Partnership with UK Power Networks Power Partners Fund and the Centre for Sustainable Energy to help tackle Fuel Poverty
In 2018, 10.3% of households in England (2.4 million households) were classed as fuel poor.
It is estimated that 12,000 people die each year from health conditions arising or worsening from having a cold home.
The key factors that contribute to fuel poverty are the energy efficiency of a home, the cost of energy bills, and household income.
Imago can provide information, advice and support to individuals, carers and families on issues relating to fuel poverty, including:
- Income Maximisation (benefit checks etc, debt advice, grant funding)
- Support to access energy efficiency improvements and heating upgrades
- Behavioural change (Information and tips on energy saving)
- Referral to appropriate support organisations for specific issues, including health needs
- Other individualised support to meet peoples needs
- Priority Service Register Sign Up
- Training and Events
Support can be delivered by telephone or an online video chat, and once Government Regulations permit, via a home visit.
