Support and Training



The Volunteer Centre team support organisations and volunteer co-ordinators by offering advice and information about:

  •  Developing and advertising volunteering opportunities
  •  Volunteer recruitment
  •  Volunteer management

We do this through:

  •  One-to-one meetings and telephone consultations 
  •  Good practice visits 
  •  Sample policies and procedures
  •  West Kent Volunteer Co-ordinators’ Forum

Imago offers a range of training which is open to external organisations. The volunteering team highly recommends An Introduction to Volunteer Management for all new co-ordinators. This course covers the policies and procedures you need; recruitment, interviewing, induction, supervision and support processes; how to handle and develop more challenging volunteers.
