Black and Ethnic Minoritised Carers Support Group
15th September 2026 from 2:00 PM - 4:00PM
Ignition Brewery, The Sydenham Centre, 44A Sydenham Rd, London SE26 5QF
The group has been created in response to the desire for a dedicated space where Black, Asian and minoritised carers can come together, connect with others who may share similar cultural experiences and perspectives, and feel supported in their caring journey.
The first session will be held on Tuesday 15th September 2026, 2:00pm – 4:00pm at Ignition Brewery, Ground Floor, The Sydenham Centre, 44A Sydenham Rd, London, SE26 5QF.
The session will provide an opportunity to:
- Meet and get to know other carers
Find out more about the group and what you’d like it to become - Share experiences and stories if you feel comfortable doing so
- Connect with others who may understand some of the cultural experiences and challenges that can come with caring and life beyond it
- Have a cuppa, a chat and hopefully enjoy some good company!
As with all our groups, there’s absolutely no pressure to share anything you’re not comfortable with. Whether you’d like to talk, listen, or simply meet some other carers, you’re very welcome.
We’re really looking forward to starting this journey together and creating a safe, welcoming, and supportive space for Black and Ethnic Minoritised carers across Lewisham.
