London Marathon

Liam Brown  took on the epic challenge of running the TCS London Marathon to raise money for Imago Young Carers  on Sunday 2nd October 2022.

Liam is no newbie to taking on challenges, having already completed the London Landmarks Half Marathon in 2021 for Tommy’s Charity and the local landmarks 10k this year.

He has also completed a 500-mile cycle for bone cancer, which he did over the summer last year.

Liam started his marathon training with a main focus of raising £2,000 or more for his efforts for Young Carers. We are absolutely delighted that he has raised in excess of £2,800, with the final amount still coming in! Well done Liam.

Liam works for Kroll, a provider of proprietary data, technology and insights to help clients stay ahead of complex demands related to risk, governance and growth.

The company’s London office, have kindly supported our Young Carers previously by providing refurbished IT equipment to those most in need.

Additionally, Liam raised funds through his employer to help support Imago Young Carers.

Imago's CEO Caroline Shaw said:

Many CONGRATULATIONS to you all for completing the London Marathon.

What an unbelievable achievement!!

The money you have raised for Imago Young Carers will go a long way to supporting the young people through our services and completing something as challenging as the London Marathon to raise these funds is fantastic, so for that I thank you all very much!

Shrek The Musical

Thanks to TWODS  Tunbridge Wells Operatic and Dramatic Society, Kent Young Carers were chosen as their nominated charity for the production. The show ran from 14-18th June 2022 and after each show there was a bucket collection in support of Kent Young Carers. Thanks to the generosity of the audience an amazing £1,000 was raised! Thank you to all involved.
