Definition of Imago


Imago Community (formerly Voluntary Action within Kent) is a Registered Charity and Company Limited by Guarantee, working across Kent, Medway, East Sussex and London to ‘promote, develop and facilitate social action, supporting independence and empowering communities’

Our History

Initially set up in 1932 as the Tunbridge Wells Council of Service, Imago has merged with a number of like-minded organisations to form a resilient, diverse organisation that prides itself on the provision of excellent services, modern governance, a focus on quality and consistency and a skilled, dedicated staff team.

Imago changed its name from Voluntary Action within Kent in early 2015 to better demonstrate the breadth and diversity of its projects.
