Shadow Youth Board

Imago is proud to have an active Shadow Youth Board!

Our Shadow Youth Board meet 4 times a year and gives young people who access our various projects the opportunity to feedback on the services that we provide. Imago firmly believe that young peoples views are important and that they should be involved in decisions that affect their lives and that of their peers. They also should also have the opportunity to provide new perspectives and ways of looking at and thinking about a whole range of issues that could or do affect Imago and its young people.

The purpose of our Shadow Youth Board is

To work with adults to ensure that the Young Peoples voices are heard, valued and fed back.

To support other young people who access Imago Services

To work with the Directors/Trustees of Imago to achieve the best possible projects for our young people.

If you would like to become a member of our Shadow Youth Board, please get in touch with us by contacting Ashley Giles on ashley.giles@imago.community or calling our head office on 01892 530330

The last Shadow Youth Board was held in Thanet on Wednesday 19th February 2020.

Feedback from the session: they all really enjoyed the session and will definitely like to attend the next one.

Beach Clean

September 2019

Last Saturday our Shadow Youth Board volunteered their time and took part in a local beach clean at the lovely Pegwell bay in Ramsgate. This was part of the national Great British Beach Clean and the team joined forces with Guardians of the Deep as part of the Marine Conservation Society. Our team spent 2 hours cleaning, litter picking and importantly recording their finds along with around 60 other volunteers from across Kent. Thankfully the weather turned up too and was a lovely 20 degrees and sunny for the duration of the morning!! A big thank you to the organisers of the event and of course our awesome Shadow Youth Board!"

Help to Care App

In 2019 Imago’s Shadow Youth Board played a part in helping to develop the Help to Care App and provide feedback. It was officially launched across Kent and Medway on the 12th May 2020!
