Tonbridge Lions 39th Annual Sponsored Walk for Charity and Community Groups

Raise funds for your Club or Favourite Charity.
After an absence of four years, Tonbridge Lions are pleased to announce they will recommence their annual sponsored charity walk on Sunday 7th July 2024. The Lions do all the organising and marshalling of the event to enable supporters of other charity and community groups to raise funds for their respective organisations. No entrance fee is charged so the organisations keep all the sponsor money for their funds. When it was last held in 2019 115 walkers took part raising in excess £4,500 for their chosen charities and organisations.
Lion’s spokesman Mike Stout said “It will start and finish at Shipbourne Village Hall and be a pleasant walk around the local countryside with a choice of approximately 4.5, 6 miles or 9 mile routes. Detailed point to point instructions and maps will be issued on the day and all routes will be marshalled”.
At the finish, walkers will have their sponsor forms officially “stamped” to show that they have completed the walk and will be presented with a certificate signed by Phil Jesson; President of Tonbridge Lions Club.
