We are inviting all unpaid carers to celebrate Carers Rights Day with us!

Free Training - identifying and supporting young carers

ONLINE - Thursday 20th November - 11am to 12:30pm

Open to all professionals working throughout Kent (excluding Medway), East Sussex, and the London Boroughs of Bexley, Greenwich, Havering, Lewisham, and Southwark.

The City of London - for unpaid carers living, studying or working in the square mile.

Information Day at St Giles' without Cripplegate Church

Thursday 20th November - 10am to 2pm

Join us and other service providers in the City with an empowering talk from POhWER on your rights as a carer.

Kent

Carers Rights Roadshow at Heather House in Sittingbourne

Thursday 20th November - 9:30am to 4pm

Drop into Heather House in Sittingbourne for our Carers Rights Day roadshow event. Chat to other carers and meet service providers that can offer support with your caring role.

Carers Forum in Hextable

Wednesday 26th November - 10am to 1pm

Imago Carers Forums provide an opportunity for you to share your thoughts, ideas, and feedback on the support we offer. It's a fantastic way to get involved and help us ensure that our services meet the needs of those who use them.

Lewisham

Information day at the Glass Mill Leisure Centre

Thursday 20th November - 10:30am to 3:30pm

All Lewisham unpaid carers are welcome to join us for an information day, with activities, stall holders and talks around your carers rights.

Register as an unpaid carer and receive support

Imago supports unpaid adult carers in Kent, (Dartford, Gravesham, Swanley, and Swale), the City of London, and Lewisham, who are providing help and support to a family member or friend.

If you are a carer, we are here to help you balance your caring role with your own wellbeing.

What is Carers Rights Day?

Carers Rights Day is about raising awareness of the rights the UK’s 5.8 million unpaid carers are entitled to, and to help them get the support they need and the recognition they deserve.

Many people do not see themselves as carers, and often unaware of their legal rights and what they’re entitled to in terms of support and benefits.

Carers should not have to miss out on support designed to reduce some of the pressures caring can bring. Whether they care 24/7 or juggle care with work and family life, are new to caring or have been for many years, and wherever they live in the UK – all carers deserve to understand their rights and be supported to use them if they wish.

Carer Poverty Coalition open letter to the Chancellor – Autumn Budget 2025

We have joined the Carer Poverty Coalition in writing to the Government ahead of the Autumn Budget, calling for urgent action to resolve the ongoing issue of Carer’s Allowance overpayments.
